About this course
In this course, a deep knowledge acquired in the fields of literature (British, American and Anglophone literature and culture), linguistics (synchronic and diachronic linguistics) and Medieval Studies (medieval literature and historical linguistics), with specific focus are possible. Mandatory special events such as oral language practice skills form the basis for an excellent language skills and methods or job-related seminars provide a variety of key skills.
The core subject studied English and American Studies should be completed in six semesters. Core subject students must also provide the services in a chosen field of interdisciplinary electives further 18 credit points.
Admission requirement into the program would include:
- school-leaving certificates (in the original language and an official, certified copy in German translated by a sworn translator; English and French certificates do not need to be translated)
- proof of previous study credits (in the original language and an official, certified copy in German translated by a sworn translator; English and French certificates do not need to be translated)
- DSH certificate (= German language university entrance exam for foreign students) (DSH 2 or 3) or a comparable language proficiency certificate
- If you have already begun to study in Germany, please submit the current certificate of enrolment (= Studienbescheinigung) from your university / college, showing subject(s) studied, intended degree and number of semesters studied.
