About this course

Besides scientific activities at universities and other research institutions, employment opportunities include placements at local, state and federal agencies as well as museums in the following circumstances:

  • Contaminated sites investigation and remediation, landfill
  • Soil and groundwater
  • Energy sector (inter alia geothermal)
  • Exploration, extraction and processing of mineral raw materials and bulk commodities and raw material quality control
  • Exploration of oil and gas deposits
  • Ceramic and chemical industries as well as high-performance materials

Entry Requirements

 The following are parts of the application process necessary for admission consideration:

  • Common Application
  • Educational History Form (EHF)
  • Certificate of secondary school completion such as the German Abitur (i.e. International Baccalaureate, High School Diploma (with recommended tests depending on your region), GCSE A-levels, etc.)
  • SAT or ACT
  • English Language Proficiency Test
