About this course

The musicological research and teaching program focuses mainly on the history of Western music from the Middle Ages to the present. In the first half of the program, the study of the historical foundations of composition (set of styles, genres, forms) and with the development of musical sources available. The goal is a comprehensive understanding of musical art but also for linguistic and literary historical, philosophical, liturgy scientific, socio-historical and ethnological issues provides the study area.

Entry Requirements

 The following are parts of the application process necessary for admission consideration:

  • Common Application
  • Educational History Form (EHF)
  • Certificate of secondary school completion such as the German Abitur (i.e. International Baccalaureate, High School Diploma (with recommended tests depending on your region), GCSE A-levels, etc.)
  • SAT or ACT
  • English Language Proficiency Test
