About this course
The Jewish Studies bachelor's degree program includes - in addition to the Hebrew philology and modern Hebrew literature - history, religion and cultural history of the Jews in the Middle Ages and modern times. The focus is on the history, religion and cultural history of the Jews in Central and Eastern Europe and in the Islamic world. Another thematic focus of the history and culture of the Karaites in Central and Eastern Europe and the Karaite interpretation of the Bible.
The following are parts of the application process necessary for admission consideration:
- Common Application
- Educational History Form (EHF)
- Certificate of secondary school completion such as the German Abitur (i.e. International Baccalaureate, High School Diploma (with recommended tests depending on your region), GCSE A-levels, etc.)
- SAT or ACT
- English Language Proficiency Test
