About this course

The UAS degree course in Set Design offered by the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts is an extraordinary mix of four fields of study: Set Painting, Set Sculpture, Costume Design and Make-up Artistry. This mix and its reconciliation into an institute of expressions structure is remarkable in Germany, and encourages the conveyance of a multi-disciplinary course of study which mirrors the prerequisites and difficulties of cutting edge generation frames.

Understudies who move on from the course will have picked up a practice-arranged instruction which empowers them to work in every aspect of the media, including theater, film, TV, the entertainment biz and the configuration of exchange fairs and presentations. The measured four-year degree course grants information and abilities in the fields of configuration, craftsmanship/strategy and hypothesis, and recompenses effective understudies the title of graduate planner (UAS) in their specific field.

The UAS degree course in Set Design is run parallel to the degree course in Stage Setting and Costume Design. Initially grew by an expert school established in the 1960s, the course is committed to giving understudies a top notch training in four particular theater setting callings: Set Painting, Set Sculpture, Costume Design and Make-up Artistry. Generally confined to the elucidation and acknowledgment of aesthetic plans, these callings have now come to include a critical level of self-governing innovativeness. Every pathway is saturated by three key components: masterful outline, craftsmanship/strategy and hypothetical information.
