INCEIF is the acronym for International Centre For Education In Islamic Finance. It was set up by Bank Negara Malaysia (Central Bank of Malaysia) in December 2005 to meet this global demand. The university was established as part of the Malaysian Government's initiative to further strengthen the country’s position as an international Islamic finance centre. It is the only university in the world that is wholly dedicated to postgraduate study in Islamic Finance.

Campus

INCEIF campus is situated on a two-and-a-half-acre self-contained block of land. The campus grounds house three three-storey high main buildings. The buildings are known as the Academic building, the Chancellery and the ISRA building. Among the facilities enjoyed by students at the campus are an auditorium, a 9 feet deep swimming pool and separate gyms for males and females.

The INCEIF campus is 15 minutes away to the city centre of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; one of the most vibrant Islamic financial markets in the world and one of Asia’s most livable cities. The campus, which opened in January this year, is linked by highways and well-connected to neighbouring townships of Petaling Jaya and Shah Alam.
