Community: The community that residence provides is one of its biggest advantages over off-campus living. When you move into residence, you move into a building full of students who are all looking forward to meeting new people and making new friends! These new acquaintances, along with our Residence Life Staff, will be your support network as you adjust to university life.
Academic Support: Many students find university academics challenging at first. In residence, we have staff members who are there to help you succeed! Each residence student has an Academic Link who is there to answer any questions you may have about: classes, enrollments, or how to ace that final exam.
School Pride: Living on-campus will immerse you into the residence community and the Ryerson community at large. Whether you are at a residence event, participating in intramural sports, or having a coffee on-campus with a friend, you will feel your Rye Pride start to grow!
Security: Toronto is a big city, but it seems a little smaller when you have a safe and secure home to go back to at the end of the day! Our Residence Service Desk staff monitor building access 24/7 to make sure our residence buildings are as safe as can be.
Convenience: Living in residence is easy! Being on-campus, you don’t have to worry about the hassle of commuting; all of your classes are right outside your doorstep! If you have an hour break between classes, you can just go home! If you choose a residence style which includes a meal plan, you don’t have to worry about grocery shopping or cooking either.
