About this course

Take Cambrian College's Animation program and dive into an increasingly popular style of film production that has become popular within the mainstream entertainment industry and movie-goers worldwide. Whether you enjoy science fiction or fantasy trilogies or are captivated by the story lines and action of video game cinematics, a career in animation will allow you to breathe life into your creations and see them perform on screen, either through the art of drawn animation or with the digital tools of 2D and 3D software.

Cambrian's Animation program is delivered through a partnership with Sheridan College and is based on the curriculum of Sheridan's renowned Animation program at the diploma level. Students gain working knowledge of traditional, 2D, and 3D methods of animation while becoming proficient with the 12 principles of animation. Students develop strong and dynamic storytelling, drawing, and animation skills that are brought to life on screen through a series of projects and an eventual final film. Upon completion of Cambrian's Animation program, graduates will be able to showcase convincing performances through both traditional and digital animation alongside a final production-ready portfolio.
