What are the students like? Most students are very friendly, laid back and fun to be around. They are great to share a class with, or to grab a coffee and relax in the sun. How is the academic life at this university/college? The academic life is great - I felt really supported by my lecturers and tutors, and they were always willing to provide extra assistance when needed. What do students do when not studying? Tell us about the social and sports life. There is so much to do outside of study at UOW. On-campus there are a range of different clubs and societies that hold events throughout semester, free sport offered during lunchtimes, and a range of different events held on campus every week. Off campus students can go for a bushwalk in the escarpment, check out the botanic gardens or even head down to the beach to take a dip in the beautiful water and relax on the sand.
