About this course
The MBA has been designed to provide a rigorous, flexible, course structure. The structure provides graduates with skills in analysis, creative thinking and problem-solving. Students focus on a theoretical understanding of management, the practical application of knowledge to business functions and the ability to lead and communicate with others.
The Master of Business Administration provides specialist professionals from any discipline with the breadth of perspective that is essential to succeed in a general management role. It extends the theoretical framework graduates acquired in their undergraduate studies and overlays this with a core curriculum of Strategy, Marketing, Finance, and Organisational Behaviour. The curriculum is delivered in a context of ethical behaviour, social responsibility, and sustainability as detailed in the United Nations PRME (Principles for Responsible Management Education) initiative. Working both in groups and individually students integrate theory with practice, and through a process of analysis, discussion, and reflection equip themselves with the knowledge and skills to capably and confidently undertake senior general management roles.
