Entry Requirements

The minimum entry requirements are according to the following tracks:

TRACK 1
A pass in the Higher School Certificate (STPM) with a CGPA of 3.00 or at least:

• A C grade with a 2.0 point in the general paper.
• A C grade with a 2.0 point in any two other subjects.

                            AND
A pass in the Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM) or its equivalent with at least:

• A credit in Bahasa Melayu/Bahasa Malaysia.
• A credit in Pendidikan Islam/Tassawur Islam/Pengajian Qur’an dan Sunnah/Pendidikan Syariah Islamiah.
• A B grade in English Language.
• A credit in Mathematics.
• A credit in any two other subjects.

TRACK 2                      
A Diploma or its equivalent with a CGPA of 3.00, provided that it is approved by the Malaysian Government and endorsed by the University Senate.
                            AND
A pass in the Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM) or its equivalent with at least:

• A credit in Bahasa Melayu/Bahasa Malaysia.
• A credit in Pendidikan Islam/Tassawur Islam/Pengajian Qur’an dan Sunnah/Pendidikan Syariah Islamiah.
• A B grade in English Language.
• A credit in Mathematics.
• A credit in any two other subjects.

TRACK 3
A pass in the relevant Centre for Foundation Studies programme with a minimum CGPA of 2.25.

TRACK 4
A pass in the Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with at least a Jayyid Jiddan grade.
                           AND
A pass in the Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM) or its equivalent with at least:

• A credit in Bahasa Melayu/Bahasa Malaysia.
• A credit in Pendidikan Islam/Tassawur Islam/Pengajian Qur’an dan Sunnah/Pendidikan Syariah Islamiah.
• A B grade in English Language.
• A credit in Mathematics.
• A credit in any two other subjects.

In all the tracks above, a minimum of Band 3 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) is required.

TRACK 5
A pass in overseas qualifications deemed by the Senate to be equivalent to GCSE A Level with good grades.
